Together, participants will work to see the risk management implications of specific situations and choices, scrutinize options for resolution, and foster a tolerance for ambiguity and the understanding that there may be no single ideal solution to each challenge. We will also discuss strategies for effective risk management and good patient care when regulations and requirements are unclear.

- Participants will identify three risk management strategies.
- Participants will describe specific dilemmas that are arising in professional practice and analyze the relevant legal, ethical, clinical, and risk management components.
- Participants will identify key risk management considerations related to protecting clients and one’s practice from malpractice suits and licensing board complaints during the pandemic, as well as risk management considerations in the face of potential legal changes to the healthcare system as a result of COVID-19 and potential impacts of PSYPACT.
