OCR Announces Notification of Enforcement Discretion for Telehealth Remote Communications During the COVID-19 Nationwide Public Health Emergency
CMS has as of 1:30 Eastern Time 3/17/2020 announced that all restrictions concerning Medicare and Medicaid billing for telehealth services have been suspended. Psychologists providing such services since 6 March 2020 may bill CMS using standard billing codes. Please find the press release here

We anticipate updates to this situation in light of the coronavirus crisis, but until such updates occur, you must check your state or province's Department of Health for further guidance. Florida may reimburse otherwise payable claims from out-of-state providers not enrolled in Florida<s Medicaid program, but the guidance does not address telehealth.
