In the fourth webinar of our STPA Executive Directors and Leadership Webinar Series, Trust Risk Management Advocate, Joe Scroppo, Ph.D., J.D., will be joined by The Trust’s General Counsel, Mr. Steve Benson, J.D., for an informative webinar titled, Legal & Risk Management Considerations for SPTAs. The Trust is pleased to be able to offer this content free of charge to executive directors and leadership for SPTAs participating in our Endorsement Program.
During this two-hour webinar, The Trust’s legal and risk management experts will tackle a wide range of issues raised by executive directors as challenging. Legal issues we will cover include: general non-profit principles and guidelines; required information sharing with the public; essential elements of contracts; and managing member misconduct. Risk management issues to be covered include: providing ethical psychological care in the current political climate, particularly with regard to gender affirming care; considerations about interjurisdictional practice; and obligations of SPTAs regarding ADA requests.
