The Alabama Psychological Association (aPA) was established in 1950 and is affectionately known as “little aPA” to distinguish it from the national organization. As the voice of psychology in the state of Alabama, aPA works to promote and protect the science and its practitioners on both state and national levels through lobbying, tracking and responding to legislation, offering quality events/workshops throughout the year, developing continuing education (CE) programs, and much more. aPA’s mission is to represent and enhance psychology as a science and profession and a means of promoting human welfare.
The Trust is proud to recognize the aPA as a valued participant in our State Endorsement Program. Providing support to state associations and their members is important to us at The Trust.
Through this partnership, aPA benefits from funding provided by The Trust for continuing education, while members get access to a library of on-demand webinars, state-sponsored workshops, and a variety of insurance programs.
