Milo Wilson, Ph.D.

Milo Wilson, Ph.D. (he/him/his) is a clinical psychologist in independent private practice in Richmond, Virginia, and an expert in LGBTQ mental health. He completed his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Ohio University and his postdoctoral fellowship in LGBTQ healthcare at the Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). Prior to shifting into full time private practice, Dr. Wilson worked as a staff psychologist at the University of Richmond Counseling Center and at the Veterans Health Administration. While at the Richmond VAMC, Dr. Wilson served as the LGBTQ Veteran Care Coordinator and LGBTQ EEO Program Manager for the medical center. Dr. Wilson has presented on LGBTQ behavioral health at local, state, and national levels. He has also served on the City of Richmond Human Rights Commission. Throughout his career, he has been active in leadership in the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association. Dr. Wilson’s passions are LGBTQ health and wellness, social justice advocacy, trauma recovery, and psychology training. Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with family and friends, chasing after his two dogs, trying local restaurants, traveling, playing kickball with his team, the Shady Pines, and learning to play the drums.
